چکیده

Vibrio as one of the main pathogens shellfish diseases can cause serious human seafoodborne gastroenteritis and even death. In this study, we analyzed bacterial communities from clam, compared resistance phenotypes genotypes spp. Meretrix meretrix at different growth stages. High-throughput sequencing analysis revealed predominance Proteobacteria (50%) in community was dominant genera clam hepatopancreas summer. abundance positively correlated with water temperature (p<0.05). A total 73 isolates were classified into 19 species strains included V. mediterranei (19%) harveyi (11%), algolyticus (10%), parahaemolyticus (8%). The highest 3-year-old clams other ages Among isolates, 68 resistant to 15 antibiotics except for sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim 57 phenotypes. most prevalent toward clindamycin (76%), followed by amikacin (63%), ampicillin (62%), rifampicin vancomycin (57%), amoxicillin (50%). ARI values ranged 0.13 0.18, (ARI=0.18) are higher than that clam. Approximately 72% showed multidrug-resistant maximum antibiotics. Tolerance heavy metals including Cd, Zn, Cu detected majority antibiotic isolates. addition co-resistance same class antibiotics, cephalosporin (CFP, CEP, CZ) significantly penicillins (AMP, AMC) ( p < 0.01), tetracycline 0.001), sulfanilamide (SXT) 0.01) quinolone (CIP) 0.01). metal genes copB nccA phenotype <0.01). This study habitat is low exposure a link between resistance.

Microsatellite marker analysis reveals the distinction between the north and south groups of hard clam (Meretrix meretrix) in China.

Meretrix meretrix is one of the important commercial bivalves in China. A total of 198 individual clams were collected from 5 locations characteristic of the clam's 5 main natural habitats in China, that is, Shandong, Jiangsu, Fujian, Guangdong, and Guangxi. Ten polymorphic microsatellite markers were selected to examine the genetic diversity and identify genetic differences between the 5 popul...

Mining of EST-SSR markers in clam Meretrix meretrix larvae from 454 shotgun transcriptome.

A total of 2,970 EST-SSRs (2.38%) were identified by transcriptome sequencing of clam Meretrix meretrix (751,970 reads, ~310.82 Mbp), using 454 Genome Sequencer FLX next-generation sequencing platform. Dinucleotide SSR was the dominant repeat type (40.2%), followed by trinucleotide (37.8%), tetranuleotide (12.0%) and pentanucleotide (2.0%) SSR. The dominant repeat motif was AT (71.3%) in the di...

Structural and Immunological Activity Characterization of a Polysaccharide Isolated from Meretrix meretrix Linnaeus

Polysaccharides from marine clams perform various biological activities, whereas information on structure is scarce. Here, a water-soluble polysaccharide MMPX-B2 was isolated from Meretrix meretrix Linnaeus. The proposed structure was deduced through characterization and its immunological activity was investigated. MMPX-B2 consisted of d-glucose and d-galctose residues at a molar ratio of 3.51:...

Antibiotic and heavy-metal resistance of Vibrio parahaemolyticus isolated from fresh shrimps in Shanghai fish markets, China

Vibrio parahaemolyticus is a causative agent of human serious seafood-borne gastroenteritis disease and even death. Shrimps, often eaten raw or undercooked, are an important reservoir of the bacterium. In this study, we isolated and characterized a total of 400 V. parahaemolyticus strains from commonly consumed fresh shrimps (Litopenaeus vannamei, Macrobrachium rosenbergii, Penaeus monodon, and...
